Lo esencial

At the mid and upper elevations surface slabs up to 18 inches in depth exist on steep wind loaded aspects that have not already had avalanche activity. Older hard slabs up to 7 feet in depth persist on southeast aspects. These slabs could be human triggered especially by larger triggers such as snowmobiles. The hazard will increase today as temperatures rise into the 30s at the higher elevations. Expect to see loose snow sluffs and sunballing on steep sunlit aspects and cliff areas. THE POTENTIAL FOR TRIGGERING EXISTING SHALLOW AND DEEP SLABS AND LOOSE SNOW AVALANCHES WILL INCREASE AS TEMPERATURES AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS RISE.
