Lo esencial

At the mid and upper elevations, backcountry travelers have the potential to trigger dense surface slabs with depths of up to three feet in steep avalanche terrain. At the low elevations avalanche activity is limited to isolated pockets in very steep terrain.

Avalanche Discussion

Partly cloudy skies with a chance for occasional light snow showers exists through Friday. High temperatures are to slightly cooler with highs in the upper teens expected. Winds are to remain light. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be:Moderate in the Teton area where pockets of human triggered dense surface slabs to thirty inches are possible in steep terrain.Moderate in the Togwotee Pass area where pockets of hard slabs to the ground are possible in very steep terrain.Considerable in Southwest Trails/Greys River area where surface slabs to two feet and dangerous full depth hard slabs are possible in steep terrain.
