A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail.

As a consequence of falling temperatures and low relative humidity the snowpack will consolidate on Saturday. In all aspects a mostly favourable avalanche situation will prevail. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will hardly soften at all. The snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a strong melt-freeze crust. In all regions less snow than usual is lying. On shady slopes at low altitude no snow is lying. At intermediate and high altitudes there are 20 to 40 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. On steep sunny slopes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
