Forecast Snow Stability: Unstable windslab will develop through the forecast period. Greatest accumulations will be in steep wind sheltered locations on North-West to North-East aspects above 850 metres. West and East aspects will also be affected. Accumulations will gain in depth and become more widespread during the afternoon when precipitation is heaviest. Fragile cornices will develop above these aspects. Wind exposed slopes will be scoured and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Snow showers thought the forecast period becoming significantly heavier in the afternoon. Very strong Southerly winds veering South-South-West and gradually decreasing in strength during the afternoon.
