CM for 29/03 Localised overnight instability NW through N to NE aspects above 950m. Better stability later. Avalanche hazard - Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: Localised wet snow instability overnight on steep North-West through North to North-East aspects above 950 metres. Most recent windslab in these locations will be moist and become better consolidated as the day progresses. Good stability everywhere else. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Freezing level above the summits. Light rainfall from the early hours onwards. Strong South-South-Easterly winds. Observed Weather Influences: Light snow showers from mid-morning onwards with rain only at low altitudes at the time of reporting. Moderate South-East winds. Cold temperatures throughout the forecast period. ObservedSnowStability: New accumulations of soft, moderately-bonded windslab on steep North-West through North to North-East aspects above 950 metres. Distribution is localised and confined to steep coire rims and gully exits. Good stability in most other locations. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
