The fresh wind slabs are lying on surface hoar in some places on northwest to north to east facing aspects and generally at high altitude. These can in many cases be released by people and reach medium size. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially in steep terrain at high altitude and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. All aspects: Below approximately 2000 m small moist loose snow slides are possible. In shady places that are protected from the wind: The covering of new snow is faceted and weak. This snow can be released by a single winter sport participant. The avalanches in these loacations are only shallow.

Little snow will fall until late in the night in particular in the south and in the southwest. Since the early morning the wind has been moderate to strong over a wide area. The westerly wind will transport the fresh and old snow. Shady slopes: In its middle, the snowpack consists of faceted crystals; its surface consists of loosely bonded snow. The rain will give rise from the early morning to rapid moistening of the snowpack on slopes below approximately 2000 m. At intermediate and high altitudes there are 60 to 120 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. On steep sunny slopes at low and intermediate altitudes hardly any snow is lying.

Wednesday: Significant increase in danger of moist avalanches as a consequence of the rain.
