Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be generally stable. The spring-like weather conditions will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack in all aspects.

The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. As the day progresses the likelihood of moist avalanches being released will increase gradually in particular on very steep sunny slopes. Individual gliding avalanches can also occur. The mostly small wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads, on very steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes.

Snowpack Structure

The weather was mild. The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to moistening of the snowpack. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. Over a wide area only a little snow is lying on south facing slopes.

Tendency

Light precipitation.
