Lo esencial

For Sunday we will have low avalanche danger; however, low danger does not mean no danger. Be on the lookout for any wet loose avalanche activity. If there is any wet loose activity, it will be small, but continue to be cautious in exposed terrain. If you see any signs of instability, seek lower angle or less solar effected slopes.

For Sunday, I do not expect much avalanche activity. With cold temps and a clear night, we will see a solid refreeze Saturday night.  However, as the day warms up, look for signs of wet loose activity such as roller balls, pin wheels, and saturated snow. If you observe any signs of wet loose activity, seek lower angle slopes. This avalanche type starts on steep slopes and is often triggered at your feet and entrains more snow in a "fan shape."

Also, stay clear from cornices. Cornices will become weaker as the day warms up.

Avalanche Discussion

On Saturday we had great weather with lots of sun and light winds. There was one report of some very small loose snow activity in our area, but overall no other avalanches reported.
