Forecast Snow Stability: The existing very limited areas of stable wet snow will begin to refreeze around summit levels during the day. There will also be a dusting of new snow same time, generally above 950 metres, with greatest deposits on wind sheltered North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight rain at all levels will become more showery through the day with occasional sleet and a light dusting of snow likely on the highest summits as the freezing level lowers to around 1000 metres by daybreak. The strong South-West airflow will moderate overnight, gradually strengthening through the day to near gale force by the end of the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A mild day with persistent rain and drizzle at all elevations, hill fog and light winds. ObservedSnowStability: There is a very limited snow cover, with only slivers, strips and small patches of consolidated wet snow remaining at summit levels. The avalanche hazard is Low.
