Forecast Snow Stability: Localised, moderately bonded windslab will be found in wind sheltered locations on North-East through East to South aspects above 850 metres. Features such as gully tops, sharply defined corrie rims and steep burn lines will be most affected. Many areas will be wind scoured or hold shallow new snow only. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Mainly dry with just a trace of new snow expected. Strong North-Westerly winds overnight, will ease as they back, to become moderate South-Westerly by the end of the period. 350 metre freezing level overnight, rising to 750 metres during the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: Intermittent snow showers, locally heavy, falling to glen level initially, later above 500 metres. Gale force West-North-Westerly winds, veering North-Westerly by noon. Freezing level rose to around 600 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Snowfall and drifting have formed localised windslab in wind sheltered features.
