Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh deposits of unstable windslab will be deposited in wind-sheltered areas, mainly on North-West through North to East aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations are not expected to gain depth or be extensive. Gully tops, coire rims and ridge flanks will be most affected. Fragile cornices will start to build. The old snowpack will generally be well bonded and stable, and mostly refrozen. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will initially be strong Southerly, then veering and easing during the evening to become light to moderate mainly West-South-Westerly from midnight onwards. Overnight some light snowfall above 900 metres is expected, then a dry day. The freezing level will be 1000 metres, lowering to around 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Winds were very strong mainly South-South-Westerly. After some light snowfall above around 800 metres during the morning the day was mainly dry. The freezing level rose to around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack is generally well bonded and stable; above around 900 metres its surface is refrozen and hard. Some new deposits of windslab have formed in wind-sheltered areas, mainly on North to East aspects above 900 metres, but accumulations are generally localised and have not gained depth. The avalanche hazard is Low.
