SC 26.03 Snow will continue to thaw but will remain well bonded throughout. Avalanche hazard Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: The snow will continue to thaw and diminish but will remain generally well bonded and demonstrate good stability. Falling ice and cornice collapse will remain a potential hazard. Greatest snow accumulations will be on high plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Another dry and sunny day is expected. Freezing levels will remain above the summits. Winds will be light, initially South, veering West during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Early hill cloud cleared leaving a dry and sunny day. Winds were light but strengthened slightly from the West. ObservedSnowStability: The snow is thawing at all levels but remains generally well bonded throughout. Glide cracks were noted around corrie rims at 1000 metres. Cover is starting to break in many locations, greatest amounts now found on high plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
