Forecast Snow Stability: Significant drifting will see areas of unstable windslab becoming deeper and more widespread. These will mainly be on North-East through East to South aspects above 900 metres. Scarp slopes, corrie rims and gully tops will be most affected. New accumulations will also develop on South-West and West aspects. Older snow will remain firm and icy. Elsewhere, occasional deeper drifts will be encountered in any lee location with exposed ridges scoured. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Remaining cold at all levels with light snow showers at times. Winds expected to be strong, mostly North-North-West . Observed Weather Influences: A cold day with very occasional light snow showers. Winds were strong, mostly from the North-West. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of unstable windslab continue to develop around steeper wind sheltered features on North-East through East to South aspects. Deepest areas are mainly on scarp slopes, corrie rims and in gully exits above 850 metres. Elsewhere there are deeper drifts in lee locations but mostly a covering of dry light snow. Old snow is very firm and icy. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
