Salt River and Wyoming Ranges

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Mostly stable snow exists, however, DANGEROUS very deep slabs lie on steep slopes with northerly aspects above 8000 feet and northerly and easterly aspects above 9500 feet.. Many such slabs naturally released in the Tetons over the last several days and await triggers today by snowmobilers, snowboarders or skiers.On other aspects isolated pockets of slab could be triggered on steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas.
