Avalanche Summary

Watch for hard drifts of snow at the top of steep slopes or on steep mid-slope rollovers. Recent strong westerly winds have drifted snow onto mainly northeast- to southeast-facing slopes, but it's a good idea to treat any wind-loaded slope, regardless of direction, with caution. If you see shooting cracks or if surface slabs sound hollow and drum-like, steer clear of high-consequence terrain.
