Your chance of triggering an avalanche is slowly decreasing, but there are plenty of hazards to manage. Steep, wind-drifted slopes are the most likely places to trigger a smaller slide, or they could break deeper if you find a shallow spot on a slope around rock bands or a thin spot in the slab. Near and above treeline on north to east-facing aspects are the most likely places to find this problem; however, lingering slabs may also be lurking on other slopes. Sticking to lower-angle, wind-sheltered terrain will help reduce your risk.
