As a consequence of the precipitation the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent from midday.

The weather conditions gave rise to rapid consolidation of the snowpack. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. In isolated cases wind slabs are lying on old snow containing large grains. This applies especially on shady slopes.

Increase in danger of dry avalanches as the snowfall becomes more intense.

As a consequence of the precipitation the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent from midday.

The mostly small wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads,. This applies in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas in particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. Above approximately 1500 m snow will fall from early morning. In these regions the avalanche danger will increase gradually to level 2 (moderate). Caution is to be exercised in particular above the tree line.
