Lo esencial

Small Wet Loose avalanches will be possible on South slopes.  Similar to Friday, it's pretty hard to imagine any avalanches large enough to bury or injure a rider, unless you were to get knocked off your feet on a big slope or carried into a terrain trap.

Small Wet Loose avalanches were observed on South slopes on Friday.  While Saturday looks to be a bit cooler, it is also forecast to be sunnier.  As folks venture onto bigger and steeper slopes, be careful of small slides that could knock you off your feet.  As always plan and time your tour to find soft yet safe riding.

Avalanche Discussion

The melt-freeze cycle has been reliable as of late with some bullet-proof yet edgeable snow surfaces in the morning and then pleasant soft skiing on most aspects by the afternoon.  There is a chance of a skiff of new snow overnight, and hopefully it won't disrupt the cycle too much for Saturday.  Significant new snow is in the forecast for early next week!... well, significant for this year anyway.
