Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: We've had a few small snow storms starting in October that have added up to 8 to 12 inches of total snow in the higher elevations. The storm on Sunday, November 19 dropped 6 to 8 inches of dense snow. There really isn't enough snow to do much more than scoot around on Forest Service roads. There is basically no avalanche danger right now.
Mountain Weather: There is another storm that will move through during the T-Day Holidays. It looks like we should see a shot of snow starting early Friday. The storm (which wasn't portrayed to be all that large to begin with) looks slightly less impressive than it did over the last few weather model runs. My current guess is that we'll get 3 to 5 inches by Sunday. Wind looks pretty light through this period blowing from the west, southwest. Temperatures will gradually cool dropping into the teens by Sunday. The pattern looks more active starting around the first of Dec with the hint of a number of storms.
