Wind slabs and wet snow represent the main danger.
In particular on steep slopes individual small to medium-sized slab avalanches are possible above approximately 1400 m. In the vicinity of peaks a dangerous avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities. The more recent wind slabs and can be released easily. Avalanches can penetrate down to the ground and reach medium size in some cases.
The small quantity of fresh snow and in particular the wind slabs formed by the strong wind are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack. The high temperatures from the late morning will give rise to increasing softening of the snowpack in some cases in particular on sunny slopes.
