Avalanche Activity

The weather will be cold in some localities. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good.

The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in north to northeast to northwest facing aspects and on wind-loaded slopes. As a consequence of falling temperatures, the natural avalanche activity will rapidly decrease.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of low temperatures and solar radiation the snowpack consolidated. On steep shady slopes above approximately 2200 m danger level 2 (moderate) will be reached. The snowpack remains unfavourable in particular on very steep shady slopes.
