Forecast Snow Stability: New snow amounts are not expected to be significant mainly a dusting over the highest summits. The old patchy snowpack on mainly North to Easterly aspects above 850 metres will remain generally well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will be around 1400 metres with some precipitation forecast for the afternoon falling as light snow above 1000 metres. Winds will be fresh South-South-Westerly strengthening through the day with widespread hill fog. Observed Weather Influences: The freezing level was above the summits, cloudy with rain and drizzle this morning, drier in the afternoon.

ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is moist but stability remains good in all locations. Snow cover is limited and patchy with the greatest accumulations in the higher North and Easterly corries. The avalanche hazard is Low.
