Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will be generally well bonded and stable, with firm, icy conditions above 700 metres and softer, slowly thawing conditions below. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Mainly dry with occasional showers in the afternoon falling as snow above 600 metres. Light to moderate Northerly winds. Freezing level around 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It was a showery day with rain and drizzle at most elevations and snow on the highest summits. Moderate to strong South-South-West winds. The freezing level was around 1100 metres in the morning, dropping during the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally well bonded and stable. Wet snow surface instabilities are present in the isolated and generally shallow accumulations of recent snow which are mainly on North and North-East aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
