Lo esencial
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE and will increase to CONSIDERABLE as temperatures rise. Strong west winds have formed pockets of soft surface slab up to two feet in depth. Yesterday these slabs were easily triggered by riders and skiers on a variety of aspects. The sensitivity of the slabs to human triggers will increase as the day progresses. Today's sunshine and warm temperatures are likely to cause the spontaneous release of wet snow avalanches on steep sunlit aspects. In isolated areas, the possibility for large loads to trigger full depth hard slab avalanches on very steep avalanche paths may persist.
