You can trigger a large and potentially deadly avalanche on most slopes facing west through north to southeast. If you notice cracking and collapsing in the snowpack as you travel through untouched snow these are obvious signs of a dangerous snowpack and you should stick to low-angle terrain. You can find safer travel options on south and southwest-facing slopes and by avoiding travel on or under slopes steeper than about 30 degrees on aspects of concern.
