The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above the 9,000 foot elevation where pockets of slab up to one foot in depth exist in steep wind loaded starting zones. If triggered these slabs have the potential to step down into deeper layers of weak faceted snow possibly triggering dangerous deep hard slabs. The general avalanche hazard below 9,000 feet is LOW where mostly stable snow exists.
