The general avalanche hazard will increase as temperatures warm and snow surfaces soften. Wet loose and wet slab avalanches are possible on very steep slopes after significant warming has occurred.
Pockets of wind slab up to a foot in depth could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones. These slabs will become increasing sensitive to triggering as the day progresses and may become damp during the heat of the day.
Wet loose slides are possible on very steep slopes if significant warming occurs. Wet loose slides may go to the ground on very steep slopes where the snow is isothermal and shallow.
Limited moisture in a marginally unstable air mass will continue to bring scattered snow showers to the mountains and a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will fall in the lower 20s overnight and rise into the upper 30s to upper 40s on Thursday.
