Lo esencial
The General Avalanche Hazard is CONSIDERABLE at Mid and Upper elevations. Seven to ten inches of new snow in the past 48 hours have been moved by very strong westerly winds. Sensitive slabs to two feet in depth could be easily triggered on lee slopes or other aspects with east facing fetches like Twin Slides on Glory Peak. The new snow rests on weak, faceted layers on northern exposures and slick sun crusts on southerly exposures. The hazard will increase through the day as forecasted winds and snow increase. The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW at Low elevations where the snowpack is shallow and less snow has accumulated.
