The avalanche hazard is LOW this morning and will rise to MODERATE this afternoon at all elevations. New snow lies upon hard crusts at the mid and upper elevations and could be human triggered today in steep avalanche starting zones in the form of loose snow sloughs and isolated pockets of shallow surface slab. If significant sunlight and warming occur today, the sensitivity of the new snow will increase at the mid and upper elevations along with the possibility of wet slide activity at all elevations.
