Snowfall returns on Friday night, but not enough will fall to change the danger by the end of the day Saturday. Triggering an avalanche remains unlikely because many slopes feature stout crusts formed by winds, warm weather, and, most recently, rain. If you were to trigger a small avalanche, it would be where you find 6 inches or more of recently wind-drifted snow on a steep slope above treeline.
