Lo esencial

At the mid and upper elevations DANGEROUS slabs up to five feet in depth lie upon weak layers of faceted snow. These slabs are easily triggered by humans who approach or venture onto them. Yesterday skiers in the Teton Range triggered a five foot deep slab in the Air Force Couloir of Granite Canyon and a three foot deep slab on a southeast aspect of Taylor Mountain. Both of these events ran full track. Similar events are likely to be triggered today. At the lower elevations slabs up to three feet in depth could be human triggered on steep terrain prone to avalanche activity.
