Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to thaw and consolidate at all altitudes. Isolated wet snow instabilities will persist on steep and convex Northerly to Easterly aspects above 1000 metres. Remaining cornices will be unstable. Elsewhere the old snowpack will be firm well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Rain at all levels during the night, this will clear to leave a mostly dry day. Storm force Westerly winds will gradually ease to very strong during the day. The freezing level will remain above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: Occasional showers falling as rain at all levels on gale to storm force West-South-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose to summit levels by midday. ObservedSnowStability: In general, the snowpack is thawing and consolidating at all altitudes. Localised instabilities persist within deeper accumulations on Northerly to Easterly aspects above 950 metres. Areas particularly affected are coire rims gully tops and steep convex terrain. Debris from a few single point release avalanches was observed on a North facing slope at 1100 metres. Elsewhere the old snowpack is firm well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
