Forecast Snow Stability: Areas of moderately bonded windslab will continue to develop, with East through South to West aspects now affected above 900 metres. Steep wind sheltered locations such as gully tops and corrie rims will be worst affected. Elsewhere, exposed terrain will remain very firm and icy. Isolated pockets of deeper snow will also be found at lower levels. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Will be dry throughout, remaining cold in the glens. Winds, moderate in strength, North-East to North overnight, backing North-North-West, then North-West. Observed Weather Influences: A bright start to the day but becoming increasingly cloudy. There was little wind, midday temperature was -4.8 degrees celsius. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of moderately bonded windslab is present on East through South to South-West aspects above 900 meters. Stability is poorest where accumulations have achieved depth over older snow-ice, particularly around corrie rims and gully tops. Exposed terrain is scoured and often icy. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
