Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to very slowly consolidate. Area of dense and reasonably well bonded windslab will remain on sheltered West to North aspects above 900 metres. On other aspects above 900 metres the snowpack will be firm and icy. At lower levels it will continue to gently thaw. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Another generally dry day with strengthening South-Easterly winds. The freezing level will be around 900 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It was a generally dry day with moderate Southerly winds. The freezing level crept up to around 1000 metres during the day. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is continuing to consolidate in the settled conditions. There are some areas of old dense and reasonably well bonded windslab persist mainly in sheltered West to North aspects above 900 metres. On other aspects the snowpack has a firm, icy surface and is well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
