Forecast Snow Stability: The patchy snow will continue to slowly thaw but will be generally well bonded and stable throughout. Any remaining cornices will pose a threat due to the potential for collapse. Very little snow will be encountered below 900 metres. Greatest amounts will be present on the highest plateau areas and in high North to East facing corries. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry and mild with the freezing level remaining well above the summits. Strong Southerly winds, backing South-South-Easterly during the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: Dry, mild and cloudy conditions with strong Southerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining snow continues to slowly thaw at all elevations but is generally well bonded and stable. Sections of overhanging snow remain in some locations with the potential for collapse due to the prolonged milder conditions. Very little snow remains below 900 metres with greatest amounts being found above this altitude in North and East facing corries and on high plateau areas. The avalanche hazard is Low.
