The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Milder; freezing level near summits throughout. Light showers of rain or sleet depending on altitude. Much stronger South-West winds. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight snow showers then dry during the day. Bright, sunny morning, clouding over later. Cold summit temperatures but noticeably milder in sun-exposed locations. ObservedSnowStability: Poor stability overnight with a few small cornice triggered dry slab avalanches on East to South-East aspects. Many weak cornices remain. Progressive consolidation during the day of snow on sun exposed East to South aspects at all altitudes. Some residual instability lingers in deep windslab in steep shaded North-East aspects above 950 metres. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
