Lo esencial

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE. Over 2 feet of new snow with 2 inches of moisture has fallen during the past week. Overnight and older snow that came with strong southwest to west winds have created unstable conditions on a variety of aspects and slope angles. Surface slabs up to four feet in depth could be easily triggered by travellers and have the potential to dig down and carry deeper weak layers and run full path. Wet, loose slides are possible in low areas impacted by rain and sustained very warm temperatures particularly in steep areas like ravines and road cuts where small, heavy slides can be very dangerous.
