Lo esencial
This storm cycle has deposited nearly forty inches of snow and four inches of moisture in the Tetons which has resulted in dangerous surface slabs to four feet in depth. At the mid and upper elevations these slabs could easily be triggered by backcountry skiers and riders today in steep wind loaded avalanche terrain where they lie upon a variety of weak layers of faceted snow and crusts. Use caution as these slab avalanches may occur even after a slope has been skied or crossed several times. At the low elevations pockets of slab to two feet in deep could be triggered on steep wind loaded slopes.
