Avalanche Summary

The most likely place you could trigger an avalanche is where recent winds drifted new and old snow into stiff, cohesive slabs. You may find these slabs near ridgelines and in cross-loaded terrain features. Drifted slabs of snow may feel stiff or have a wave-like appearance.
