Lo esencial

At the upper elevations winds that veered from the southwest to the northwest have formed pockets of new soft slab 8 to 16 inches deep on leeward aspects along the highest ridge lines. At the mid and upper elevations pockets of denser old slab up to two feet deep exist beneath the new snow and lie upon buried layers of surface hoar and suncrust. Humans who venture onto steep slopes are likely to easily trigger the new soft surface slabs or loose snow sloughs and could trigger the denser buried slabs. At the lower elevations avalanches are unlikely except for shallow loose snow sloughs on very steep slopes.
