Lo esencial
At the upper elevations new soft slabs put in by southwest winds lie upon weak layers comprised of buried surface hoar and light density snow and good sliding surfaces comprised of melt-freeze crusts. Slabs up to one foot in depth are likely to be easily triggered by humans on wind loaded avalanche prone terrain. At the mid elevations avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets on shaded wind loaded aspects that have old snow surfaces. At the lower elevations the snowpack is very shallow and avalanches are unlikely.
