Avalanche Summary

The avalanche danger will worsen throughout the day. By the afternoon, you can easily trigger large and dangerous wet avalanches, and you might still be able to trigger a large dry slab avalanche on mid to upper elevation north-facing slopes. The easiest way to reduce your chances of being caught in a dangerous avalanche is to start and end your day early and identify and avoid steep, unsupported slopes that face northwest, north, and northeast.
