The mostly stable mid and upper elevation snowpack is comprised of faceted snow and a variety of crusts in the process of decomposing. No avalanche activity has be observed or reported, and avalanches remain unlikely.

Northwest flow is expected to bring one to three inches of new snow to Western Wyoming overnight, followed by an additional inch or two on Sunday. Overnight lows in the mountains should be near 20 before rising into the mid 20s during the day. The valley will dip into the low to mid 20s before climbing into the upper 30s on Sunday. Ridgetop winds will be northwesterly at 15 to 20 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to remain LOW Sunday morning. At the upper elevations, shallow pockets of wind slab could be human triggered on steep, wind-loaded slopes near ridgelines. These slabs will grow as new snow accumulates, and could sweep backcountry travelers off their feet or push them into compromising areas.
