Lo esencial

Over two feet of snow containing over two inches of moisture has fallen in the Tetons since Sunday morning. Large, dangerous slabs with depths of two to four feet could easily be triggered by skiers or riders today in steep avalanche terrain at the mid and upper elevations. Several slides were reported yesterday, including the Big Do It chute on Teton Pass that was triggered remotely by a skier on approach and ran full track. Avalanches are unlikely at low elevations where recent snowfall lies primarily on the ground.
