Lo esencial
The snowpack is mostly stable with the exception of weak layers that persist near the ground. In isolated areas some potential may remain for larger triggers such as snow machines, or groups of snow machines, to trigger a hard slab avalanche up to six feet deep on a very steep, upper elevation avalanche path.
Avalanche Discussion
Light snow is forecasted for the peaks Monday night and Tuesday. Accumulations should be less than three inches and temperatures will rise from morning lows near ten degrees into the mid teens during the day. Winds along the crests will be 15 miles per hour from the northwest overnight then westerly Tuesday. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE. Some potential may remain for users to trigger deep, hard slabs up to six feet in depth in a few very steep, higher elevation avalanche paths. Larger triggers such as snowmachines or many people on a slope may be necessary to start one of these deep, hard slabs.
