Lo esencial
Air temperatures at 10,500 feet have been well above freezing during the past 48 hours and were in the lower 40s at five AM this morning. These warm temperatures have created unstable conditions on steep avalanche prone slopes. Wet loose avalanches are likely and cornice releases and large dangerous wet slab avalanches are possible. Large wet snow avalanches could release naturally or in association with a cornice drop. Large destructive wet snow avalanches could run long distances and pose a threat to humans who travel or camp in avalanche run out zones. Expert knowledge and terrain evaluation skills are essential for safe travel in the snow covered cirques, canyons and basins of the Teton Range.
