Above 8000 feet, riders and skiers could trigger dense slabs in steep avalanche terrain that has been loaded by winds over the last week. The likelihood of triggering these slabs will increase today as they are weakened by direct sunlight and rising temperatures.
Surface slab avalanches one to two feet in depth could be triggered in very steep terrain where recent wind loading has occurred.

In very steep terrain that has seen recent wind loading, soft slabs to two foot depths could be triggered. In the Togwotee Pass area a slight chance also exists to trigger older hard slabs.
