Lo esencial

At upper elevations backcountry users could trigger firm slabs to 18 inches in depth on steep, lee slopes. Avoid areas directly under cliffs and cornices. Evaluate snow and terrain carefully; identify features of concern. At the mid and low elevations isolated pockets of slab to 10 inches in depth could be triggered in very steep ravines or cliffy areas.

Avalanche Discussion

The chance for moments of light snow exists overnight and Thursday. Temperatures will be slightly warmer with highs in the upper teens expected. The general avalanche hazard will be moderate above 9000 feet where pockets of slab to eighteen inches could be triggered by backcountry travelers in very steep wind loaded avalanche terrain. Avalanches below 9000 feet are unlikely except for in isolated pockets.
