Lo esencial

Soft surface slabs to two feet in depth lie upon low density snow and crusts at the upper elevations. These slabs will be sensitive to backcountry users in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones and can lie on any aspect due to varying winds over the last several days. At the mid elevations pockets of soft slab to a foot in depth could be human triggered and although smaller in size could sweep a skier or rider over a cliff or bury them in a terrain trap. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely where not much new snow has fallen. Yesterday a skier triggered a slide on the Southeast ridge of Mount Glory and Cow of the Woods slide in Hoback Canyon released naturally.
