Lo esencial

Avalanches large enough to bury or injure a rider will be unlikely.  Even in low hazard it is a good idea to carry avalanche rescue equipment and use good travel techniques like riding steep slopes one at a time.  On steep South slopes you may be able to trigger very small Wet Loose avalanches once the day has warmed up.

Last week riders were able to trigger small Wet Loose avalanches in the melting snow on sunny slopes.  All the observations I've seen have been of small avalanches that would only be consequential in steep terrain, where you wouldn't want to fall.  Relatively cooler temperatures mean that Wet Loose avalanches will be less likely than we saw during the last week.  On Monday I'll be trying to find slopes that have softened enough to make for good riding, and it's always good to consider how much wet snow you are pushing around.
